An investigation is underway after a serious house fire in North Yorkshire today (Friday).
Fire crews from York and Selby were fighting the blaze in North Duffield at 6.44am.
On Twitter, Station Manager Tony Walker described it as a “serious fire”.
Main Street in Duffield was closed for a time as firefighters brought the flames under control.
By 8am, the fire was out and the road reopened. One appliance was left at the scene.
“Fire investigation is now underway. No injuries reported at this time. It’s a cold icy morning. Take care on your commute,” Tony tweeted.
