Tadcaster firefighter Will Jones is on a mission to train for the London Marathon to raise cash for the The Firefighters Charity.
Hard as it is, he is doing it in full firekit and breathing apparatus which will make it quite a challenge.
As part of his fundraising efforts for this challenge, He is arranging an open day at Tadcaster Fire Station on the 3rd of September 2022 from 1000-1500.
Will told YorkMix “We will have various service vehicles here including fire engines, the water bowser, the incident support unit and our aerial ladder platform,
“Entry is free with the option of making a donation to the charity.”
Will is currently training which includes a lot of 10 mile sessions to get to top physical fitness for the big day in the capital on Sunday 2 October.
