Firefighters attended a fire inside a living room in York yesterday evening (Monday).
Crews from Huntington, York, and Acomb were mobilised to the domestic property in Huntington at approximately 8:02pm.
All of the occupants were outside the building when the crews arrived at the scene.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Crews then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the remainder of smoke from the property.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said:
“The cause of the fire was accidental and residents were given advice.”
