Two fire crews were called into action last night (Thursday) after a house in York caught fire.
Firefighters from Huntingon and Acomb were called out to the fire in Sadberge Court, Osbaldwick at 8.08pm.
On Twitter, Station Manager Tony Walker said four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used hose reels on the blaze.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews attended a fire in a residential property that is believed to have started in a bedroom.
“No people were injured or trapped by the fire. Crews extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.”
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
