Updated: Man arrested after car crashes into roadside barrier in Selby

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident in Selby last night.

999 Crews were called to a single vehicle crash on Bawtry road near the Jet garage at around 12:30am.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the events surrounding it is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police with information.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Selby has been called to a single vehicle road traffic collision where a car had collided with a roadside barrier.

“No persons trapped or injured. Crew made the vehicle safe and left the incident with police.”
