A fire alarm has been sounding continually for hours in York.
And that is despite the fact that there is no fire or smoke.
A fire crew from Acomb were called to the property in Dringhouses at 11.22pm last night (Saturday).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Upon arrival it was found the alarm had been sounding for approximately six hours and with no sign of fire.
“Crews gave advise to neighbours and the alarm was left sounding as access couldn’t be gained.”
Later on the same shift, firefighters were called to an alarm in York at 1.27am. This was due to cooking fumes and the crew “gave advice to occupant”.
