Police have identified a man they wanted to talk to following a fight in York city centre.
It happened on Bootham at around 2.30pm on Sunday 16 July.
There was a “a physical and verbal altercation” police said.
Officers released a CCTV image of a man in his mid-forties they wanted to speak to.
He was also seen at the National Railway Museum earlier in the day and was thought to be with two young boys and a women who was wearing a denim shirt.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson issued this update on Saturday: “Yesterday we issued an image of a man we believed may have information which would help officers investigating an altercation which took place on Sunday 16 July on Bootham in York.
“The man has now been identified, so thank you if you shared the appeal.”
