A fight in Clifton left one man in hospital.
Police were called to reports of a number of men fighting at the Clifton Hotel public house, on Water Lane in York.
It happened at around 7.45pm on Friday (November 2). One man in his 20s was taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be serious.
A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the incident and bailed while enquiries continue.
Appeal for witnesses
A short time later, there was a disturbance outside McColls shop on Crichton Avenue, which police believe may be linked.
A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the second incident and bailed while enquiries continue.
