Plans are in to open a pizza restaurant in York.
A branch of Boss Pizza is set to open on York Road in Acomb. It would be located in the former British Heart Foundation shop.
That would put it next to The Hand bar and bottleshop.
Planning documents state: “Externally the building will be changed by adding new signage to the front and the addition of an extract canopy to the rear of the property.
“Internally, the building will undergo modification to create a modern and clean customer seating area accompanied by a well-equipped supporting kitchen space.

“The proposed restaurant will help to regenerate and revitalise the vacant building and contribute to the community’s economic well-being through the creation of job opportunities for local residents.”
It would open from 11am to 11pm seven days a week.
Boss Pizza was started by Ajmal Mushtaq in Hamilton, Scotland. It is a franchise operation and has 15 restaurants at the moment.
The company plans to open more than one UK site a month for the next 18 months aiming to reach more than 70 venues in the next three years.
The newest restaurant, in Bradford, saw people queuing around the block to take advantage of the opening offer last month – a 12-inch pizza for £2.
