Footwear favourite Schuh has recently spread its love to Monks Cross, opening its new outlet on Friday (July 10).
Katherine Sharp, centre manager at Monks Cross Shopping Park, said she was excited to welcome the new store, saying it would add “another dimension” to their fashion offer.
The chain, which already has a store on Davygate in the city centre, is best known for its variety, ranging from high end to high street, and from sandals to heels.
As well as its own brand footwear, Schuh stocks big names including Vans, Nike, Sketchers and Converse.
With its vibrant range of colours, and a new kids section, the company is confident the new store will be a success.
To mark the opening of the Monks Cross outlet store, Schuh will be running a promotion known as “Sell Your Shoes” (until Aug 9), by which unwanted shoes belonging to any customers can be exchanged for a £10 Schuh voucher.
The shoes collected by Schuh during the promotion will be donated to the Newline Foundation, a charity which helps disabled and terminally ill British children.
Donated shoes will be broken down and recycled, with all profits going to the foundation.
