The message has been repeated numerous times over the last week: ‘Don’t drive into floodwater’.
And exasperated firefighters have issued the plea again after another rescue.
Crews from York and Acomb were called out to Howden Lane near Naburn late last night (Friday).
A van had got stuck in the flood waters there.
It is the latest in numerous similar incidents. On Thursday, we reported how firefighters had rescued a man after five hours of being stuck in his van in the floods at Buttercrambe.
After the latest incident, fire station manager Tony Walker took to Twitter to say: “The driver was led to safety and his van left in situ. Don’t drive into flood water!”
