Discover the hidden gems of the Selby district this weekend – as Selby Residents’ Festival brings big discounts and great offers.
The returning festival is back for its fifth year on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April for another weekend of special discounts, offers, tours, entertainment, and more for visitors and residents.
The festival gives people in the Selby district (Selby, Tadcaster, and Sherburn in Elmet) the chance to discover what’s on their doorstep and be a tourist in their own backyard.
Explore what’s on offer from everything from shopping, to afternoon tea, to sweet treats, to Sunday lunch, and experiences at the stunning Selby Abbey.
Ahead of the festival, on Friday 4 April, YorkMix will be heading out once again on tour!
The YorkMix bus will be heading out on a special roadshow around the area, broadcasting live and visiting some of the participating venues along the way.
The bus will leave Selby at 9am and will arrive back at Selby Abbey at 5pm. If you spot us, make sure to come say hello!

Activities:
- Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens, Stillingfleet – this year the garden opens for Selby Resident’s Festival on the morning of the Sunday 6 April between 10am and 12pm. Admission will be reduced at just £3 per person.
Food and Drink:
- The Drovers Arms, Skipwith – Enjoy a 3 course meal on Saturday 5 April for £20 per person at the Drovers Arms. Make your selection from a specific menu – see the pub website for full details.
- Doylys Tearoom, Bolton Percy – Free tea or coffee with any purchase from our cake cabinet. Available Saturday 5 April 2025 from 10am – 2pm
- Harmony Tearoom, Stillingfleet – bottomless tea or coffee will be served with any meal between 10:30am and 3:30pm on Saturday 5 April
- Oh My Graze, Camblesforth – receive a 20% discount on all purchases (eat in, take out, or deli purchases) on Saturday 5 April at Oh My Graze. Offer does not apply to outside catering options. Please quote “Residents’ Festival” to receive your discount.
- Stables Tearoom at Carlton Towers – pre-book an Afternoon Tea in our ‘Stables Tearoom’ on either Saturday 5 or Sunday 6 April between 10am & 4pm and it will include a FREE glass of Carlton Towers Sparkling Rose, which is from the walled garden vineyard at Carlton Towers.
- Walkers Kitchen, Tadcaster – Offer 1 – Full English Breakfast & a hot or cold drink for £10 per person. Offer 2 – Tea or coffee and Cake for 2 for £10. Offers available on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April from 9am until 3pm and booking is advisable.
- Roo’s Tearoom, Burn – Roo’s invite you to join them on Saturday 5 April 2025 for two fantastic offers: Offer 1, Small Breakfast & Drink for £10pp: Enjoy a delicious, freshly made breakfast and a hot drink of your choice for just £10pp. The perfect way to start your day and explore the local area. Offer 2, Coffee & Cake Deal for £6pp: Indulge in a freshly brewed coffee and one of our homemade cakes for only £6pp. A treat for yourself while you enjoy the cosy atmosphere of our café.
- The Greyhound, Riccall – Offer 1: join us on Saturday, the 5th, for our fantastic offer of 2 main meals for £20. The Offer is available from 5 pm to 7:30 pm when you pre-book your table. Offer 2: on Sunday, 6th, we have our fantastic home-cooked Sunday lunch, served from 1pm to 4pm. Book a table and receive a free dessert. Choose from a slice of chocolate fudge cake or a whiskey bomb caramel pudding. These offers are only available for pre-booked tables.
- Fairfax Distillery, Colton – Offer 1: free bottle of Toffee Vodka with every 70cl bottle of any of our spirits purchased over the Selby Residents Weekend. Simply visit our online shop on the Fairfax website and make your purchase, all we ask is that you write ‘Selby Residents Festival’ in the notes box. Offer 2: Any pizza from the pizza menu for £10pp , from 7:30-9:30pm on Saturday 5 April. Either eat in or takeaway available.
- Digby’s café at Sherburn Aero Club – Receive 10% off your bill at Digby’s café on both Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April. Offer available on all food and drink for the whole weekend. Please quote “Residentsfestival” to receive your discount.
- Tim Hortons, Selby – 20% discount off all purchases over the course of the weekend – both Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April. To claim the discount, please quote “Residents Festival” and the discount will be applied at the till.
- The Lemon Tree, Tadcaster – Offer 1: free tea or coffee with either a Full Monty breakfast or Little Monty breakfast. Offer 2: cake and tea or coffee for £5.50 per person. Both offers are valid on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April.
- Malt Bar & Deli, Sherburn in Elmet – we are extremely proud of our collaborations with local suppliers for many of the products we serve. So, for this weekend only you can enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea) with any one of our traybakes or cinnamon rolls for just £6 per person.

- The Book Circle, Selby – 15% off everything for the whole weekend. Saturday 5 9:30am until 5pm and for the Residents’ Weekend ONLY, also open Sunday 6 April between 11am and 4pm.
Experiences:
- Selby Abbey – Come and enjoy a special tour of the Tower of Selby Abbey at a reduced price as part of the Residents’ Weekend. You must be a resident of the Selby Area to book this tour. Behind the scenes tower towers. Guided Tours of the Central Tower (including ringing room, clock room, bell room and the view from the top – weather permitting) for a reduced price of £5 per person on Saturday 5 April.
