York residents will enjoy free entry to the Mansion House later this month – ‘as a token of gratitude’.
Residents and all key workers will enjoy free admission from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 30 May.
A spokesperson for the Mansion House said: “The past year has been challenging, and the tireless work of key workers everywhere, as well as the community spirit bringing the city together should be celebrated.
“As the home of the Lord Mayor of York, and sitting at the heart of the city for almost 300 years, York Mansion House is a treasure trove of York’s unique history, allowing visitors to take an interactive walk through the lives of some of our most infamous characters.”
In line with the latest government guidelines, bookings for up to six people or two households are now open here.
Reserve your timeslot online then show a work pass, York Card, proof of address or any other key worker ID on entry.
For an added highlight to your visit, download the free Mansion House app by searching York Mansion House in your app store.
The spokesperson said: “Enjoy an afternoon out on us – you deserve it.”
