Police went to a crash in a York suburb in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Officers then called in firefighters to the incident in Heworth at 1.02am.
One electric hybrid vehicle was involved and it was smoking and leaking fuel.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “No people were trapped or injured in the collision.
“Crews arrived on scene, disconnected the battery and made the scene safe. They then left the incident with the police.”
