Emergency services were called to a crash on a main York Road today (Thursday).
As YorkMix reported earlier, the collision was on Boroughbridge Road, close to the junction with Cranbrook Avenue.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 11.32am, after a car hit the pedestrian island in the centre of the road.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision, where a male aged mid 30s, driving a Volvo V5, collided with road furniture.
“The male was out on arrival and was uninjured. Crews carried out scene safety only.”
