Fire crews and police officers were involved in a river rescue in York late last night (Thursday).
They were called to the riverside in Holgate at 10.55pm where a woman was at the water’s edge.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “She was talked from entering the water, and left with police.”
Later, at 3.55am, York and Selby fire crews were called to Ousegate in Selby “following a report of a female dangling from a bridge”.
They were stood down en route as the woman was with the police.
