Get ready to rock at the Grand Opera House as roof-raising show Rock of Ages returns to York.
Hear all your favourite classic rock anthems including We Built This City and The Final Countdown in the smash-hit musical comedy.
Rock of Ages is at Grand Opera House York from Tuesday 27 September to Saturday 1 October 2022.
Rock of Ages is set in Los Angeles in the mid 1980s, and is about a legendary rock club called The Bourbon Room that the local council are attempting to close down.
Among the cast is Coronation Street‘s Kevin Kennedy, who will be playing rock guru and owner of The Bourbon Room, Dennis.
Best known for playing the character Curly Watts for 20 years on the popular long-running soap, Kevin has had his own musical past with being part of many bands over the years.
“It’s incredible to be able to put your two passions together,” said Kevin, “and in a vehicle such as Rock of Ages it is a whole lot of fun as well!”

“If you’re a seasoned theatre-goer or you’ve never been to a show before you will have a lot of fun,” added Kevin.
“If you want to come dressed in your leather trousers and embrace your inner 80s rock star then do that!
“Even bring along an inflatable guitar if you want – everything is just a whole lot of fun.”
Tickets start from £13 and are available via the Grand Opera House website.
