Drunk man rescued from York shop rooftop by firefighters
Firefighters were called out after a drunk man got himself stranded.
It happened at 1am this morning.
A crew from York were called to Low Ousegate after a man had scaled a convenience store and got stuck on the roof.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York assisted in rescuing an intoxicated male from the roof of a convenience store.
“One triple extension ladder and lighting was used. Crews gave advice to the male.”
