Police have today carried out a drugs raid in York city centre.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team “successfully executed a warrant in the Marygate area”, the force reported on social media.
It followed tip-offs from neighbours in the area.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “This operation was part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our community.
“We would like to thank the local residents for their cooperation and understanding during this operation.
“Our priority is to keep North Yorkshire safe, and we appreciate your continued support.”
They urged anyone with concerns about criminal activity in their area to call them on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
“Your vigilance helps us protect our community,” the spokesperson added.
