Drivers face two-hour delays on the A64 – but say no one was staffing the roadworks

Drivers have been reporting serious hold ups on the A64 today (Monday).

Delays of up to two hours are being reported by people using the the section of the road between York and Malton in the Huttons Ambo area.

National Highways report it’s due to work by Yorkshire Water. Many people have been complaining that they can’t see anyone actually at work on the site though.

Yorkshire Water tweeted that the team were likely to have been awaiting for parts to be delivered on site.
