A van driver pulled over by police gave a specimen which was nearly five times over the limit.
Police were alerted by members of the public concerned about the erratic way the van was being driven.
They pulled the van over on the Hopgrove roundabout on the A64.

Traffic officer David Minto said on Twitter: “My roads policing group stopped this at A64 Hopgrove after numerous reports of concern for the driving.
“Myself and @ilmmad512 arrived soon after. Driver arrested S4 RTA * ‘unfit’. He then provided a custody breath specimen nearly five times over the limit.”
It comes as North Yorkshire Police revealed they had made 35 arrests in the first ten days of their Christmas drink and drug drive campaign.
That comprises:
- 8 arrests for drug driving
- 28 arrests for drink driving
- 6 arrests in relation to road traffic collisions.
The force said on Facebook: “We will be continuing our enforcement activity over the next week and will have some more results for you on Friday. Until then, keep safe and we will be working hard to keep you and our roads safe too!”
