A man was taken to hospital after a serious crash in North Yorkshire yesterday evening (Thursday).
A van and an HGV collided on the A1M at junction 47, the Allerton Park interchange.
Emergency services were called at 5.52pm .
Where the crash happened
Four fire crews, from Knaresborough, Harrogate, Ripon and Tadcaster, went to the incident.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews responded to a road traffic collision where a van had impacted the trailer of an HGV and the driver was trapped by the dashboard.
“On arrival crews used cutting equipment, spreaders, rams and a turfer to free the male driver of the van.
“The driver was transported to hospital by road ambulance with a suspected broken femur.”
