A driver has died and his passenger was seriously injured after a crash at a North Yorkshire junction.
As YorkMix reported last night (Tuesday), the collision was on the A63 close to the junction with the A162 to South Milford.
It happened just after 5pm. Police, fire crews and the air ambulance went to the scene.
Where the crash happened
It involved a red Citroen C1 which is believed to have been travelling westbound towards the A1, and a grey Mini Cooper that is believed to have been heading eastbound towards Monk Fryston.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said today: “We can now confirm that the 89-year-old driver of the Citroen was taken to hospital where he sadly died.
“His 77-year-old passenger was also taken to hospital where she remains with serious injuries.
“The 30-year-old driver of the Mini was also taken to hospital with injuries but she has since been discharged.
“Did you see what happened? Or do out have any dash-cam footage which may have captured something prior to the collision?”
