A driver was cut free from the wreckage after his car crashed on a major road in North Yorkshire today (Tuesday).
Emergency services, including firefighters from Ripon and Northallerton, were called to the collision on the A19 southbound at 10.20am.
The car had crashed into the central reservation and the driver was trapped inside.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews released the casualty from the car by removing the roof using electrical cutters, spreaders, a thermal image camera and small tools.
“The casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service and transported to hospital.”
