A driver clocked doing 101mph on a busy North Yorkshire A-road has been banned and fined.
Back in March, North Yorkshire Police revealed they had clocked two vehicles exceeding 100mph on the A169 near Pickering.
The road has a 60mph limit.
Police checks showed the vehicle was not registered for driving on the road. Officers seized it at the roadside “with the occupants making their own way home from there”.
Now the driver of the vehicle has been found guilty and banned from driving for two months.
They also have to pay £640 in a fine and costs.
The other driver – who was clocked doing 102mph – is expected in court soon.
