Why not dress up like Santa and chase a Christmas pudding around York?
It’s all for a fantastic cause.
The British Heart Foundation York Fundraising Group are organising a charity fun run called Chase the Pud – where participants will dress up in a Santa suit and chase a pudding round the Knavesmire.
This year, the race will be bigger than ever, as a new distance has been added for 2023.
Chase the Pud York will take place on the Knavesmire on Sunday 10 December, with the race beginning at 10.30am.
A free Santa suit is included for all entries.
There will be two distances to choose from; 3k and 10k.
The 3k distance will be an untimed race, where participants can choose to run, jog or walk around the Knavesmire. Participants in the 3k race will be chasing a mince pie.
And new for 2023 is the 10k distance – which will be a chip timed race for those who want an extra challenge! Once you don your Santa suit, you will be racing around the Knavesmire while trying to catch a Christmas pudding.
The BHF York Fundraising Group have been organising Chase The Pud York for around 20 years. The charity is the biggest independent funder of heart and circulatory research in the UK.
Will you be up to this festive challenge for a brilliant cause?
