This was the dramatic scene at a York museum after one of its outdoor attractions caught fire.
The blacksmith’s forge is part of the Viking Village at Yorkshire Museum of Farming, Murton.
As we reported earlier, two York fire crews were called out to the blaze at 12.15am this morning (Monday).

Today, the museum said: “Sadly last night the Blacksmith’s Forge, on the Viking village caught fire.
“The fire brigade attended quickly and thankfully stopped it from spreading any further.
“We will rebuild but it is certainly not what was needed at this time.”
Happily no one was hurt. An investigation is underway into what caused the fire – the forge had last been used seven hours earlier.
The museum added: “Once the fire brigade have looked over it again we get it cleared and look at putting a new fence up ASAP.
“We will look at replacing the Forge in the closed season.”
It launched a crowdfunding campaign in June after being left without income for months – and is asking anyone who would like to help to donate there.
