Everyone loves Yorkshire. That simple fact is confirmed by those online travel bods at TripAdvisor, just days after two other surveys found the same thing.
GOC (God’s Own County) is the top UK destination for British tourists if you exclude that there London, according to the TripAdvisor study.
They also found that Yorkshire is third top on the international travellers’ British destination list – ahead of places like Cornwall, Devon and the Scottish Highlands.
This news followed Yorkshire being named third best region in the world to visit in 2014 by Lonely Planet and in the top 10 destinations to visit by AOL.
Alistair Griffin, singer songwriter and Yorkshire patron, said: “I think the rest of the country – and the world – are really starting to get what Yorkshire is all about and see it for themselves. Stunning natural beauty, great food and amazing culture all make it hard not to love.”
