Travellers on the East Coast Main Line are facing a day of disruption as the stormy weather has caused severe problems.
Train company LNER says: “Customers are advised not to travel today.” (Sunday 10 December).
Storm Elin caused severe damage to overhead lines between Peterborough and Grantham yesterday.
That stretch of the lines remains blocked today to allow repairs to be made.
LNER said: “Customers with tickets dated 9 or 10 December 2023 can use their tickets for travel on 11 or 12 December. Alternatively, you are able to obtain a refund from the point of purchase.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your journey today.”
