As we now know, the York Theatre Royal will reopen on April 22.
And they’re clearly hoping that the revamped theatre will attract some showbiz royalty…
On the artist’s impression of how the renovated foyer will look, a sharp-eyed reader spotted a familiar face.
That bearded chap holding a tot is dressed more for the warmth of LA than a spring day in York. And no wonder, it’s none other than Scott Disick – former partner of Kourtney Kardashian – pictured on a day out in Beverly Hills.

Not convinced? Check out our pix. The one on the left is a close up of the Theatre Royal mock-up, as created by architects De Matos Ryan. The one on the right is a picture of Scott holding son Mason with Kourtney on a stroll round Beverly Hills in April 2013, as reported in the Mail Online.
If you look closely at the theatre image you can see Scott still gripping the handle of his bag – although the rest of it has disappeared.
And if you’re none the wiser about who these ‘celebs’ are, Kourtney Kardashian is “an American reality television personality, actress, socialite, businesswoman and model” according to Wikipedia. And Scott is her “on-again, off-again” partner, although they last separated in 2014.
Quite why, out of all the people in the world, they chose Scott and Mason for the illustration is anyone’s guess.
Perhaps they’re hoping the Kardashians will be lured to York to see Brideshead Revisited, the first show of the new season.
