Another fire believed to have been started deliberately broke out in York yesterday evening (Sunday).
An Acomb fire crew responded to a report of some hedges on fire at 5:22pm.
Shortly afterwards at 5:40pm, Easingwold crews also responded. On arrival the fire was confirmed to be the same incident being dealt with by the Acomb firefighters.
Crew used knapsack sprayers to extinguish the flames.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said: “The cause of fire is believed to be deliberate.”
