Filmed at various locations around York and Yorkshire in July, including the Castle Museum and St William’s College, Death Comes To Pemberley materialises on BBC1 tonight at 8:15pm.
Hopefully more full-bodiced than York’s last TV series outing, Eternal Law, this mini-series is based on PD James’s crime-busting sequel to Jane Austen’s classic Pride and Prejudice. YorkMix photographed some of the scenes filmed outside St William’s College earlier in the year, with stars including Doctor Who’s Jenna Coleman.
We are looking forward to seeing our fabulous city in a more earthy light, complete with corsets and carriages and will be watching with mince-pies and red wine in hand! Let us know what you think with comments below or on Facebook.

They could have shown York in the two-part drama about Lord Lucan, too, but missed the opportunity. Everyone in York knows he’s been in Barnitt’s all this time.
