A dead whale has washed up on a North Yorkshire beach.

The minke whale was discovered on the beach at Redcar yesterday (Saturday).

The carcass was pictured by professional photographer Jordan Crosby, with a cordon placed around it.

Another week and yet more sea life washed up on the North East Coast.

It is believed the mammal washed up on the beach during high tide early on Saturday.

Redcar and Cleveland Council were making arrangements to have it removed.

This is the second dead whale to wash up on the beach. Another one was discovered in June.
