A popular race has raised another fantastic sum for charity.
Hundreds of runners take part in the Dalby Dash, and this year’s event raised £1,500 for Help For Heroes.
The cheque presentation took place at the Up & Running shop in York, one of the sponsors.
The race has been going for 11 years and has raised more than £19,000 for Help for Heroes as well as £18,000 for North Yorkshire charities.
Dalby Dash race director Darran Bilton said: “Help For Heroes is our main beneficiary, especially as the race is held on Remembrance Sunday every year.
“The Dalby Dash is supported by Pickering Rotary and Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue, along with many volunteers.
“This year’s race – dubbed as one of the most scenic races in Britain by Trail Running magazine – will take place on 13th November.”
