A cyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a 4×4 in North Yorkshire.
It happened on Scott Road, Selby, just before 10.40am today (Monday).
The cyclist, a 22-year-old man, was taken to hospital by ambulance with head, leg and arm injuries.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Whilst serious, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“The driver of the grey VW Tiguan, a 58-year-old local man, has been arrested in connection with the collision.
“Following questioning, he has been released under investigation.”
Scott Road remained closed between the leisure centre and Flaxley Road until 12.20pm while the emergency services worked at the scene.
Police would like to hear from witnesses to the collision or drivers with relevant dash-cam footage.
