A cyclist was seriously hurt in an accident at a busy York junction.
Police are appealing for information after a male rider suffered serious injuries following a collision with a car at the A1036-A64 Askham Bar interchange.
The accident happened at about 8pm on Wednesday (October 3).
The 36-year-old cyclist was travelling on the A1036 when the collision occurred with a red Ford Transit van at the junction with the A64.
The cyclist was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance with what were described as potentially life threatening injuries. He currently remains in a critical condition.
