Cyclist skids off road and ends up in A&E after spillage on York road
There’s a warning to road users in part of York tonight to take extra care on a roundabout after a slippery spillage on the road.
Cllr Darryl Smalley said: “Cyclists please AVOID the Rawcliffe Lane/Eastholme Drive roundabout – a spillage has made it very slippery.
“We’ve helped two people who have come off their bikes – one thankfully OK, and one heading to A&E.”
The City of York Council says: “We are aware of a spillage which is causing the road to be slippery around Rawcliffe Lane/Eastholme Drive.
“A team is heading out to make it safe.”
It’s not known what exactly is on the road or where it came from at this stage.
