A cyclist has died after being in collision with a car in York.
The incident happened on Malton Road, near Elmfield Avenue, on Saturday, June 3.
The collision occurred at 4pm.
It involved a blue BMW 130d, driven by a 34-year-old woman and a silver bicycle, ridden by a 56-year-old man, both from York.
The man was taken to York Hospital. Sadly, eight days later, he died at his home address on Sunday, June 11.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them, so they can establish the full circumstances around the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who recalls seeing the cyclist or BMW prior to the collision, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police as soon as possible.
