Crews tackled a large fire at the rear of some garages in a York suburb late last night (Monday).
Firefighters from York and Acomb went to the incident in Dringhouses at 10.56pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews wearing breathing apparatus equipment extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets.
“The garage sustained external fire damage only but some commercial wheelie bins and surrounding fence were damaged.
“Crews dampened down after the fire was extinguished and a further inspection will be carried out during daylight hours.”
