Updated: Three injured as car, van and pickup crash on the A19
For the second morning running, a serious collision closed the A19 in North Yorkshire today (Thursday, 29 July).
The northbound lane was closed near Staddle Bridge, north of Osmotherley.
Police, fire and ambulance crews went to the accident, which happened at about 3.55am.
A white Toyota Hilux pickup, a yellow Daily Iveco van and a silver Nissan Juke car collided.
Fire crews from Northallerton and Stokesley used cutting equipment to release three men from the wreckage of the Nissan.
The men aged 21, 26 and 31, were taken to hospital with injuries that were serious but not believed to be life threatening. The road reopened at about 8.30am.

Early yesterday, a man died after a three-vehicle crash on the A19 at Thimbleby near Northallerton. Police are appealing for witnesses.
