Fulford School in York is closing for the rest of the term after more than 500 pupils were forced to self-isolate because of covid.
It will however still have classes for vulnerable childen and those who’s parents are key workers as was the case during lockdowns.
But the head teacher, Steve Lewis, says even those children should only go to school if absolutely necessary. They should remain at home if they are identified as a covid contact too.
They have had 28 positive cases of covid and 11 of them were today (Monday)
