A husband and wife were injured in an attack in the Selby taxi rank.
It happened around midnight on Saturday, 22 March, as the couple were waiting in the rain for a cab after a night out.
When a taxi arrived, two men pushed in front of them.
The husband required hospital treatment after he was allegedly punched and knocked unconscious.
His wife was reportedly assaulted and suffered hand and arm injuries.
The two suspects left in a taxi.
The injured man was wearing a white T-shirt and a stone Carhartt overshirt, blue jeans and trainers with an orange stripe.
The injured woman was wearing a black knee-length dress with a dark blue denim jacket and knee-length boots. She was carrying a green handbag.
Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and trying to locate the relevant taxi firms for further information.
There is currently no description of the two suspects.
Officers are asking anyone with information to get in touch.
