A family became trapped in a York car park last night (Tuesday).
Firefighters were called to the Shambles car park on Garden Place at 6.26pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York assisted a female, male and a baby from a car park after the gates had been locked behind them.
“Crews used a grinder to release the lock.”
