As we first reported more than a month ago, York is about to witness the city’s wedding of the century.
Pop star Ellie Goulding will wed her art dealer boyfriend Caspar Jopling at York Minster this Saturday (31 August).

YorkMix first reported that the York ceremony was planned back in July.
York Minster is closing to the public early on Saturday at 12.30pm.
Castle Howard is hosting the reception – as we reported earlier this week, preparations are well underway at the venue with a huge marquee being installed.
Showbiz guests
Ellie has many friends in showbiz and royal circles, so Saturday could be the time for star spotting.
Sarah, Duchess of York, and her children Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are reported to be on the guest list. Ellie is also close friend of Prince Harry, and she sang at the wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Ed Sheeran and Rita Ora may be among the rock royalty at the service.
At Castle Howard, which is closed all day for the “private function”, several temporary structures are being building, including two huge marquees either side of the Atlas Fountain.
Teepees are also going up in the grounds, perhaps to allow overnight guests to indulge in a little glamping.
Tents can be seen in the estate’s Rose Garden, and elsewhere.
