Stand up comedian Nathan Caton will star in The Rocky Horror Show when it comes to York later this year.
It’s been announced he will be joining the cast as the Narrator in Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical at select stops on the new UK tour – including York!
The Rocky Horror Show is at the Grand Opera House York from Monday 21 to Saturday 26 October 2024.
Gigging since the age of 19, Nathan has spent the last decade establishing himself as a headliner on the comedy circuit, bringing his unique blend of personal and political comedy to audiences up and down the country.
He has featured on comedy programs such as Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Russell Howard’s Good News, Live at The Comedy Store, and was a finalist on FHM’s Stand-Up-Hero.
Nathan said: “I am incredibly excited to be part of this production. The Rocky Horror Show is a legendary piece of theatre and I look forward to bringing my own spin to the Narrator.
“It’s going to be a wild, fun and unforgettable ride. I can’t wait!”
He joins the previously announced Neighbours icon and pop legend Jason Donovan, who is set to play Frank ‘n’ Furter.
The cast also features Connor Carson as Brad, Lauren Chia as Janet, Job Greuter as Riff Raff, Natasha Hoeberigs as Magenta/Usherette, Jayme-Lee Zanoncelli as Columbia, Morgan Jackson as Rocky, and Edward Bullingham as Eddie/Dr Scott.
Completing the cast are Ryan Carter-Wilson, Arthur Janes, Hollie Nelson, Erica Wild with on-stage swing Alex Hetherington and on-stage swing/dance captain Stacey Monahan.
The Rocky Horror Show has been a smash-hit for 50 years and counting, and features famous musical numbers like ‘Sweet Transvestite’, ‘Dammit Janet’ and, of course, the timeless floor-filler, ‘Time Warp’.
