Child hit by car on York pedestrian crossing
A man has been arrested after a child was hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing.
The boy, aged seven, received minor injuries after being hit by a black Ford Focus.
It happened at about 2.20pm on Thursday (1 April) on North Moor Road in Huntington.
A male driver has been arrested in connection with the collision and released pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information including dashcam footage.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.”
