Chief Constable Dave Jones, said: “It is disappointing that a minority of people are still not understanding the message that drinking and driving is wholly unacceptable.
“I would like to thank all those members of the public who have provided us with information which has led to the arrest and charging of offenders.
“If you do decide to risk drinking and driving, we are looking for you. Given the number of arrests my officers have made so far, there is every chance you will be caught and have to face the consequences.”
Mr Jones added: “The shift was a great insight into the dedication and skills of the police officers and police staff who keep the roads a safe place on your behalf.”
