CCTV released after attempted motorbike theft

These stills show a man York police would like to question following the attempted theft of a motorbike.

At around 8.50pm on Saturday July 9 2016 a man was captured on CCTV trying to move a motorcycle from a multi-storey car park at Rowntree Wharf.

The motorbike was moved only a few metres before a group of people are seen to leave the car park.

A few hours later, a group of people return and remove the motorbike from the car park. It was then left on the side of the road damaged.

Police would like to speak to the man pictured on the CCTV stills as he may have important information that could assist the investigation.
