This was what was left of a car after it caught fire on a major North Yorkshire road.
Fire crews from Knaresborough, Boroughbridge and Harrogate were called out at 9.16pm last night (Wednesday) to the incident.
A BMW convertible was on fire on the A1M, close to the turn-off for Boroughbridge.
Crews used two hose reel jets to put out the blaze.
The car was totally destroyed. North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service say the cause is believed to be an electrical fault with the engine.
