City of York Council will be resurfacing the carriageway on St Oswalds Road, Fulford from Monday 14 October for approximately two weeks. Work will take place between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
In order for the work to be carried out safely a temporary road closure will be in place on St Oswalds Road when work is taking place. Residents are advised that access is restricted during the times listed above except in emergencies.
Due to the nature of the work there will be no on street parking during the week. If access is needed residents are advised to inform traffic management operatives on site. Pedestrian access will be available at all times.
As with any construction work, there is likely to be a certain amount of disruption and inconvenience but everything reasonably possible will be done to keep this to a minimum. However, motorists should expect some delays and plan their journey accordingly.
The Contractor carrying out the work will be Hanson Contracting North, who will be responsible for residents’ safety.
